Kessie Stevens


Holding a number of increasingly senior positions in a range of safety and HR roles, Kessie has worked in disability management, claims management, Workers Compensation Board (WCB) appeals and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). This foundation allows her to understand and articulate the interplay between strong safety programs, human resources practices and company culture, and how these come together to support a positive work environment.

Kessie is a certified peer auditor with the Alberta Association for Safety Partnerships (AASP), a certified consultant auditor for the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) and currently working on her Masters in Occupational Health and Safety with a focus on Indigenous safety programs.

David Copus

David has spent more than 30 years in management and leadership in a wide range of industries leading areas including finance, facility development and management, safety, information technology, human resources and operations. He brings to Artis a strong understanding of management systems, company culture and the relationship between systems and the role they play in safety.

With a background in finance, David easily translates WCB’s enigmatic math into clear understandable language that allows clients to make sound business decisions regarding their WCB account.Over the years, David has had certifications in IT and HR; studied economics and business and is working on a Masters in Leadership (MA – Leadership) and is also working towards his national Certified Risk Management Designation (CRM).
